My wife and I moved from Colorado to Myrtle Beach in 2016. We relocated to “The Grand Strand” to be closer to my mother as she enters into retirement. My parents were quite business-savvy and having an exceptional work ethic and integrity were instilled in me from a very young age. My upbringing gave me the necessary qualities to live life with passion, honor, honesty, and fairness.
I played many sports in my younger years; skiing, snowboarding, baseball and football, but my heart was in competitive ice hockey. It taught me leadership, teamwork, discipline and as the team enforcer, I learned to do what was best for the team and to put the interest of others ahead of my own.
I graduated from Rutgers University in 2001 with a degree in Business and worked for several years in finance and accounting. When I was twenty-five, I decided to try a different path and enrolled at the New England Culinary Institute. I wanted a career that would allow me to be creative and interact with people. My career as a chef has given me the opportunity to work in some of the best hotels and restaurants in the world. It has also allowed me to live in six different states and learn from all the different people I met along the way. This experience truly honed my customer service skills which is a great asset to have as a real estate agent.
I am grateful to have lived in many great states across the country, and also glad to be calling Myrtle Beach home. I love the area and everything that it has to offer. Moving to the beach also allowed me to focus my free time on another sport that I have developed a passion for, and that is golf. It has taught me to be mentally strong and to always be prepared for the unexpected. This approach directly correlates to the ever-changing demands of the real estate market.
With so many moves under my belt, the transition from being a chef to becoming a realtor seemed inevitable. Both professions require one to be diligent, take initiative, pay close attention to details, as well as interacting and collaborating with people.
