The Forestbrook community is about 5 miles northwest of Myrtle Beach, off Hwy 501, and near the communities of Carolina Forest and Pine Island. While not a city or town, it is an area specified on the Census map.
Forestbrook itself was originally started in the 1970's, so you will find many older homes here. Prices can range from the mid $200,000's to a half million or more. However, this community has become very popular over the last few years, and builders such as Lennar, Pulte, and Ryan homes have all started new construction neighborhoods or townhomes to take advantage of the location and interest. While parts of the Forestbrook area may use Forestbrook and Socastee schools to service the kids, some are now enrolled in the highly desired Carolina Forest schools, which adds to the area's popularity.
The original developers invested in a community clubhouse, pool, and tennis courts, and most neighborhoods in Forestbrook can buy a membership very reasonably. For the most part, the new subdivisions are gated and have their own pool and clubhouse. Residents may buy a membership to the Forestbook POA Clubhouse for the tennis courts as well.
Homes here are listed in the MLS as "Forestbrook" or are under the names of the new subdivisions. Check the names on the sidebar for the different ones and see which ones appeal to you. Give us a call or use the contact form and we'd love to show you around this beautiful part of Myrtle Beach.
