Planter's Creek is an upscale custom home community located near the intersection of Forestbrook Road and McCormick Rd. The homes here were first developed around 2005-2006, and lots were also sold with no time limit to build. So there are homes here of all ages, even new construction. Homes sites are half-acre to over an acre, which is unusual for today's new homes. Only a few others come to mind in Forestbrook, such as Forestbrook Cove or Forestbrook Preserve.
Most of the homes in Planters Creek are three to five-bedroom brick, in single or two-story traditional style. They have all the upgrades that were expected in the mid-2000's, including 9 ft and trey ceilings, elegant kitchens with energy-efficient appliances, premium flooring or hardwood floors, walk-in closets, and granite countertops. There are no amenities in the development, and therefore the HOA fees are minimal. It may be possible to buy a membership to the Forestbrook POA Clubhouse and pool. Prices in Planters Creek range from around $450-$650,000.
Children in the neighborhood attend the top-rated Forestbrook schools and Socastee High School. Like all the Forestbrook communities, access to Highways 501and 17 Bypass is easy, making all that Myrtle Beach offers just minutes away, including the beach. If you like the area but have no interest in amenities like a neighborhood pool or tennis courts, this is one of the best. With these large lots, you can always build your own pool and outdoor entertainment areas.
