Ocean Keyes Condos For Sale | North Myrtle Beach
Back during the condo boom, a group of developers designed several communities and high-rise condos in North Myrtle Beach known as "Keyes". Laguna Keyes and Crescent Keyes were among the condos, and Ocean Keyes was a planned townhome community a few blocks from the beach in Ocean Drive. At the time this was a unique concept. The term "garden home" was most frequently used to describe this type of home. Buildings are joined together in small groups of 3 or 4, with small patio/courtyard areas behind each unit. Unlike a condo, in a townhome, the owner has the deed to the lot that his unit sits on, and is responsible for some or all of the building upkeep. Usually, the HOA maintains the yards and upkeep, but the owner actually owns the ground as well.
Ocean Keyes was originally designed with this concept, gated, and full of amenities that condominiums usually boast. The Lakeside Townhomes consisted of 56 homes around 3500 sq ft, several stories, with screened porches and attached garages. They are available in 3 or 4 bedrooms and are on a beautiful lake. These homes are priced around $350-600,000.
Some condo buildings have been built as well. The Beach Villas complex is the most near to the beach, only a block back. These are 2 and 3-bedroom units. They have two community pools, tennis courts, and several of the buildings are built around a large lake. The Seashore Villas are located several blocks from the ocean, but come in several different sizes and price points. This community has three pools, grills, and a fitness facility. The largest lake is in the heart of these condos, and views are of the lake or the pools.
The newest addition to Ocean Keyes is Beachside. There are four townhomes and all are about a block off the beach and Main Street. Beachside has its own pool and fitness center. In addition, one more condo building is in this location, with 16 three-bedroom units that offer elevators, covered parking, golf cart spaces, and share the pool, jacuzzi, and picnic area.
All of Ocean Keyes is complete luxury. Townhomes and condos all offer upgrades like granite countertops and designer kitchens. If you want to be near Main Street and the shag clubs, it doesn't get any better than this. Call us for a tour of the community and see what true beach living is all about.
