Lakeside Crossing is an age-restricted master-planned community originally developed in the early 2000's, consisting of 350 homesites. About 50 homes were added in 2015. This community is quite unique. The homes are manufactured, and buyers do not own the land, only the home. An owner pays rental on the land which also includes the use of the absolutely amazing array of amenities that are offered. Ownership is carefree, as landscaping is provided as well.

The community is located just off Highway 501, bordering the Burning Ridge Golf Course. The spacious lots can be waterfront, back up to woods, or just have lush landscaping. There are spring-fed lakes with boats, paddle boats, waterfront gazebos, and fishing privileges. You can buy a home, lease a home, or even move a manufactured home to the community. Sun Communities is an "investment trust company" that develops and operates the community. Lakeside has been ranked in the top 100 retirement communities repeatedly.

The two and three bedroom manufactured or modular homes alone are priced as low as $180,000.00 up to about $280,000. They have every luxury upgrade, from large front porches to screened back porches. Inside you can find granite countertops, designer kitchens, stainless steel appliances, hardwood flooring, and two-car garages. The homes can be as small as 1100 sq ft and as large as 1900 sq ft.

The monthly lease includes land and lawn maintenance, lot rental, and a amenities that are just unbelievable. A multi-million dollar rec center includes a clubhouse, indoor and outdoor heated pools with hot tub, a beautiful large lake for fishing, paddle boats with dock, tennis courts, a 25,000 sq ft fitness center, ballroom, library, computer center, on-site restaurant and a pub. A full-time activities director is on site during the week; with dancing, games, golfing, arts and crafts, sports, and more. Lakeside Crossing is also pet-friendly!
