Del Webb, famous active adult lifestyle communities, and PulteGroup Builders are partnering with Grande Dunes' LStar Ventures to begin expanding its Marina Village, with a 55-plus retirement community on the Intracoastal Waterway. Even as Myrtle Beach is growing with age-restricted retirement neighborhoods, our lack of a Del Webb Lifestyle Community was noticeable and will be highly welcomed. Del Webb is renown for the best active adult communities. Its 55-plus communities are targeted towards retiring Baby Boomers who want to enjoy a resort lifestyle with first-class amenities and every convenience.
The age-restricted Grande Dunes community will be located off Highway 17 Bypass at 62nd Avenue North, less than a mile from the Marina and near the YMCA and dog park. Plans are for 637 homesites by Del Webb and 113 waterfront and custom lots developed by LStar Ventures. Builders plan for a grand opening in early 2018.
Well-known for its lavish lifestyle amenities, this community will feature a 15,000 sq ft "Lifestyle Building" with multiple pools, tennis courts, bocce and pickleball courts, and state of the art fitness facilities. Residents will enjoy access to the equally amazing Grande Dunes amenities as well, which include walking trails, golf courses with clubhouses, the marina, and the private 25,000 sq ft Grande Dunes Oceanclub, with beachfront pools, restaurants, and cabanas.
In addition to the planned amenities, Grande Dunes has future plans to recreate and rehabilitate the Intracoastal Waterway all along its 2200 acres with walking trails and pedestrian facilities for the appreciation of that beautiful resource.
