Little River was once the home of a popular golf course called Cypress Bay, which was surrounded on one side by golf condos called Cypress Bay and the Gardens at Cypress Bay. In the early 2000's, the golf course was closed and its land developed by Mungo Homes into a single-family, all gas, home community known as Cypress Village.
The most impressive thing about Cypress Village is the array of amenities that are offered. Besides being a natural gas development, you'll find a beautiful pool, clubhouse, fitness-center, outdoor firepit/entertainment area, community lake with fishing, and small boat dock, a putting green, and a pickleball court. It's truly a resort lifestyle in this community.
Homes in Cypress Village are truly beautiful, too; with hardwood floors, a 2 car garage, stainless appliances, granite countertops, and gas heat, stoves, hot water, and fireplaces. The front yards are maintained by the HOA, so there's little work to be done to the property. There are 2 or 3-bedroom homes, both single and two-story. Property taxes are lower because it's outside the city limits. Many of the homes back up to that gorgeous lake.
The city of Little River is growing steadily due to low county-only taxes, a unique waterfront with restaurants, and even the casino boats, and it is only 3 miles to Cherry Grove Beach, yet without the traffic. The Myrtle Beach Yacht Club Marina offers everything for boating enthusiasts, as well as the nearby Harbourgate Marina where the Freedom Boat Club makes its home. Great seafood is just down the road in Calabash, and several 5-star restaurants are blocks away, such as The Brentwood, the Parson's Table, and Clark's Steakhouse.
