The latest in the Grand Strand Real Estate Market

As suspected, 2017 has started off on fire. The residential and condo market has been very active and property owners that are selling right now are finding themselves selling for a bit more money than they would have sold for a few years back.

Selling momentum started earlier than in previous years. We typically see an increase in activity in the Spring of each year, but activity started strong in February and looks like it will continue for the next few months. I have always said, we cannot predict the market yet we can monitor the habits of potential buyers and make assumptions.

Market Trends Worth Noting:

1) Our internet marketing has produced extraordinary results. We have seen an increase in buyer calls, internet inquiries, and traffic to our websites. Because this is increasing, we can assume we will see an increase in sales.

2) Showings on our listings have increased by nearly 50% so far this year. An increase in showings leads to an increase in sales.

3) Multiple offers on our listings – We market to generate demand for our listings. We have received multiple offers on our listings recently. This is a combination of aggressive marketing and an active real estate market.

4) The time it takes to sell our listings is decreasing. We seem to be selling property faster and for more money than the last few years.

All of the above is great news! If you are a property owner, you may be experiencing an increase in your property's value. We know the prices have increased in most segments of our market.
